Without doubt, the greatest asset that we have at The Morley Academy is our hardworking, committed and passionate professional staff body. I consider myself to be very fortunate and privileged to be the Principal of an academy where all colleagues are united in our aim to provide an educational experience for our students which is exceptional, every day.
Our vision and ethos sets out how all colleague work to achieve our three overarching aims:
1. To create a happy, safe and engaging learning environment.
2. To provide an exceptional teacher in every classroom.
3. All students to make exceptional rates of progress.
The exceptional success our students experience at the academy does not occur by chance or by luck. It comes as a result of the concerted effort of all colleagues to do the very best that they can in every aspect of their work as a professional. In order for this to be the case, all leaders across the academy are committed to creating a culture where all colleagues are valued, respected, supported, challenged and developed.
The wellbeing of each individual member of staff at the academy is something which I hold with the highest of regard. I fully recognise and appreciate that across the 200+ members of staff employed across our academy that in order to have a self-motivated and driven staff body that your wellbeing is critical. As such, I will always provide an ‘open door’ to anyone who may need any form of support or advice. I know that this is something which is shared by all leaders across the academy who will always be willing to provide you with time, a listening ear and a non-judgemental approach.
