In Year 9 your son/daughter will be undertaking a process of choosing their subject options for year 10 and 11. Students will have introductory assemblies and be working with their form tutors and the careers team to begin formulating their ideas. To aid them in this you will find an electronic copy of the ‘Options Booklet’ on this page. This booklet aims to give you details of all the subjects which will be available for your son/daughter to study when he/she enters Year 10 in September.

Please take some time to read through it with your son/daughter and discuss the subjects they may want to choose and any future career ideas they may have at this stage.

Before choices are made you will have the opportunity to have a meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss the choices that your child is thinking about taking.

It should be noted that the taking of a Modern Foreign Language is mandatory (French, Spanish or Mandarin – whichever has been studied in Key Stage 3).
