An Introduction to the Alliance
Dear Colleague

It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you The Leeds City Teaching School Alliance. Whatever your current circumstances, I hope you will have the opportunity to spend time looking through the extensive materials on this website. Prospective teacher trainees wishing to find out about our School Direct offer, are particularly welcome to do this.

For potential school and academy partners you will find not only a range of stimulating materials but potential solutions as you seek to take your school forward on a journey of improvement. Wherever you are on that journey it is our view there is something for you within our alliance. We remain convinced through our work over the last decade that deep rooted and profound improvement comes about as a result of joint partnership development, a process through which all involved benefit.

We have spent care and time drawing together the Strategic Partners in our Teaching School Alliance and to ensure that those partners have a track record of significant improvement, superb leadership distributed right across the organisation, the ability and propensity to work in partnership with others and a keenness to innovate. A particular focus of our work as an alliance over the next three years will be upon core subject performance and best practice behaviour management. We have been determined to ensure that our Strategic Partners have a great deal to offer in those areas.

If at any point, having read our prospectus or visited our website, you do wish to contact us then my recommendation would be to do so in the first instance through Stephen Mckenzie, Vice Principal at The Morley Academy on 0113 3075432 or through email on teachingschools@morley.leeds.sch.uk.
