Flexible Learning Centre

21st September 2015

The Flexible Learning Centre, as indicated by its name, will serve several purposes to learners and colleagues across The GORSE Academies Trust. Supporting all curriculum areas and phases, the centre will be used to deliver high quality, engaging and stimulating learning experiences. As it evolves it will have the ability to be changed, in a really time efficient manner, from one format to another. The centre looks modern and minimal yet it is also highly practical and functional.

The design of the centre seeks to promote collaborative learning, research and public speaking – skills that we know to be essential for effective lifelong learning. The important notion of consolidating and mastering knowledge and skill will continue to influence the design making certain that visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning is facilitated.

The Flexible Learning Centre will also host The Leeds Teaching School Alliance SCITT, seeing us train, develop and mould the outstanding teaching professionals of the future. Additionally, it will serve as an important base for continued professional development for all colleagues across The GORSE Academies Trust.

GCSE Results

20th August 2015

We are delighted with the results from the summer examination series. Our students have achieved outstanding grades with over 70% of students at GCSE gaining 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths. This is very impressive and it is wonderful to see our students smiling and crying with tears of joy, reaping the rewards of their hard work. We know that all of our students are going on to exciting new adventures with a great number electing to enrol at Elliott Hudson College. Our Post-16 students have also worked hard and have secured grades which allow them to go on to their chosen destinations be those at university, higher level apprenticeships or further training within employment. Well done to all our students and thank you to all of the professionals and parents/carers for supporting them wholeheartedly along their journey. I am looking forward to welcoming our new and continuing students back on Tuesday 8 September
