Are you interested in a career in teaching?

The Leeds Teaching School Alliance SCITT, the teacher training arm of The GORSE Academies Trust based at the Outstanding The Morley Academy, offers a dynamic route into the profession with excellent outcomes for both quality of teaching and employment possibilities. The qualification gained through us is QTS with full PGCE. Outstanding training is offered in brilliant schools. UCAS opens for new applications on 18th October 2016 and prompt applications are recommended. Please come along to one of our open evenings at The Morley Academy. You can find out more by viewing our Open Evening Flyer

A journey begins...

The Morley Academy is now being prioritised by our Trust regarding the development of its buildings. As an example, £2 million has now been set aside for the total renovation of the original grammar school building, an investment which many of us believe is long overdue. The vision for the development of the original grammar school building can be viewed by clicking here.

September Fair

The Morley Academy would like to thank everyone who attended the September Fair on Saturday 24 September and all those who helped make the event possible. A total of £3619.18 was raised which will be donated in July along with the money from additional fundraising events that are planned, to The Yorkshire Air Ambulance (in memory of George Wharton), Epilepsy Action (in memory of Aaron Thompson), and the academy's own Performing Arts department. A gallery of the day can be viewed by clicking here.

Colour Run - St Gemma's Hospice

The Morley Academy's running club took to the fields of Harewood House on Saturday 1 October for the colour run in aid of St Gemma's Hospice. Students and staff enjoyed running the 5km course periodically being showered in paint thanks to the Powder Rangers who ensured everyone passed the finish line covered in array of pink, orange, blue and green. Although it wasn't a race as such a special mention must go to Year 10 student Matthew Gardner who passed the finish line in 3rd place despite being in the third group to set off. Leanne Griffiths, Principal of The Morley Academy said 'It was great fun! The students were magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed running around the countryside being showered in rainbow colours whilst raising money for such a good cause'.

21/09/16 - September Fair on 24th September 2016

Tickets are available from our reception for our Summer Fair which will be taking place on Saturday 24th September 2016.

We look forward to welcoming the whole community through our gates on Saturday to support us in raising money for these good causes.
